On a pleasantly cool December evening in Mesa, Arizona, under a clear sky with temperatures hovering around a comfortable 69°F, the Punk Rock Pinball 4th Quarter 2023 #9 tournament kicked off at the B.R.I. Taproom & Arcade. Organized by Matt Trethewey, this event was not just a tournament; it was a celebration of pinball culture.

The tournament’s star machine was Stern’s Grand Prix, released on June 29, 2005, attracting players for 5 intense games. However, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Pro) by Stern, released on June 1, 2020, stole the show with the longest average game duration of about 11 minutes – a true test of endurance and skill.

The event saw 7 players going head-to-head in a 10-game showdown, but only a few emerged victorious:
- 1st: Shawn Barnett, with an impressive 5 wins.
- 2nd: Jeff Wegener, matching the top spot with 5 wins but just short in points.
- 3rd: Walter dony from Phoenix, a formidable contender with 5 wins.
- 4th: Greg Mohs from AZ, showcasing remarkable skill with 4 wins.
