The tournament kicked off on February 9th, 7:30 PM sharp, under a sky painted with broken clouds and a comfortable 57°F. Organized by the ever-enthusiastic Joe Wade, the competition saw 23 players vying for victory, battling it out on 14 challenging games each. With 10 games happening simultaneously, the atmosphere was electric! After an intense round robin stage, the top 8 dueled it out in a nail-biting final with no fewer than three rounds of head-to-head clashes!
Pinball Spotlight: Where Metal Met Monsters
Among the 44 machines gracing the venue, some true stars emerged. The classic Attack from Mars by Bally (released 1995) reigned supreme, seeing the most action with 6 games played. Players were kept on their toes for an average of 24 minutes per game on the hauntingly delightful Elvira’s House of Horrors (Premium/LE) by Stern (released 2019). And let’s not forget the standout game of Round 1, where Nick Campbell, Jake Piornack, Chris Grace, and Andrew Dunaj battled it out on the iconic Attack from Mars!
