This Group Knockout Tournament saw 16 passionate players duking it out over eight intense rounds, with the Fair Strikes system ensuring every game was a high-stakes showdown. Players were eliminated after receiving five strikes, keeping everyone on their toes for three hours and thirty-three minutes. Organized by the ever-enthusiastic Mark Schulz, this tournament took place under scattered clouds and a pleasant temperature of 65°F.
Clash of the Titans: Godzilla Showdown
The final round was a true spectacle, taking place on the mighty Godzilla (Pro) pinball machine by Stern, released in September 2021. The game’s theme of monstrous battles and city-saving heroics perfectly mirrored the high-stakes atmosphere. Mark Maleko Schulz from San Diego, ranked 429 by IFPA, emerged as the victor, navigating the chaotic playfield with the skill of a seasoned kaiju commander. Tom Isaak, ranked 180 by IFPA, put up a fierce fight, earning a well-deserved second place.
