Prepping the Kitchen: The Sweet Spot

Bite Me Cake Company and Flip A Coin Arcade Bar provided the perfect setting for this delightful tournament. Located at 223 South Union Avenue, Pueblo, CO 81003, this spot combines delectable desserts with the thrill of pinball. One reviewer gushed about their German chocolate cake, describing it as “a delicious slice of heaven.” If the cakes are anything like the pinball action, you’re in for a treat! Check them out here.

Mixing It Up: Game Spotlight

In round 9, we took a trip through space and circuits with Bride of Pinbot by Williams, a classic from February 1991. Watching Lindsey Brown, ranked 125th in the state, excel on this machine was like seeing a master chef whip up a perfect soufflé. She deftly handled the intricate shots and complex gameplay, earning the top spot. Karen Mooney and Brooke DeVencenty gave commendable performances, but Lindsey’s seamless integration with the game’s robotic and futuristic theme made her the undeniable champion. Maybe it’s the name, but I felt a special connection to this match!

A Dash of Pinball Machines

The tournament featured a variety of pinball machines, each adding its unique flavor to the mix:

  • Jim Henson’s Labyrinth by Barrels of Fun (October 2023): A whimsical journey through Henson’s magical world.
  • Swords of Fury by Williams (June 1988): Designed by Tony Kraemer, this game is a medieval marvel.
  • Doctor Who by Bally (January 1992): Travel through time with this sci-fi classic.
  • Foo Fighters (Pro) by Stern (March 2023): Rock out with the Foo Fighters on this action-packed pin.
  • Twilight Zone by Bally (May 1993): Step into Rod Serling’s eerie dimension, designed by Pat Lawlor.
  • John Wick (Pro) by Stern (May 2024): Immerse yourself in the high-stakes world of John Wick.
  • Pulp Fiction by Chicago Gaming (March 2023): Relive the iconic moments of Tarantino’s masterpiece.
  • Pirates of the Caribbean by Stern (June 2006): Sail the high seas with this swashbuckling adventure.
  • Seawitch by Stern Electronics (May 1980): This classic pin, designed by Joe Kaminkow, is a treasure from the past.
