Finding Joy in the Flippers at Tik Tok’s Workshop
Despite the years rolling by, there’s something comforting about walking into Tik Tok’s Workshop, nestled away on Sylvan Way in Bremerton. You might think the charm would wear off after all these years, but it doesn’t. With a five-star reputation for a reason, this spot is a haven for both old-school pinball fans and newcomers alike. The walls are lined with vintage games that bring back memories, and the friendly staff feels like family, welcoming everyone who steps through the door. The food and drinks don’t disappoint either—perfect companions for a night of battling the silver ball. There’s a warmth here that makes you wish you could stick around just a little longer.
The Monsters Come to Life in Round 2
Round 2 of the tournament brought some electrifying action on Chicago Gaming’s Monster Bash (Remake). Richard Godwin, showing why they’re a local force, pulled ahead with a strong lead. The remade version of this classic game boasts a stunning light show during the Monsters of Rock mode, where all six universal monsters—Dracula, Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Mummy, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon—join forces for an epic jam session. Rachel Kahalekulu wasn’t far behind, but despite her valiant effort, she couldn’t quite catch Richard. Still, she held her own and finished in second, proving that her pinball skills are as sharp as ever.
Pinball Machines Worth Your Quarters
Tik Tok’s Workshop pulled out all the stops with a lineup of 13 machines, each with its own unique flair. The standout? Twister by Sega, where the rotating disk and fan really bring the storm to life on the playfield. It’s an adrenaline rush every time. Then there’s The Wizard of Oz (LE) by Jersey Jack Pinball, a true gem with its mesmerizing RGB lighting and interactive playfield that immerses you in the land of Oz. And let’s not forget Star Trek: The Next Generation by Williams—a machine that still holds its ground as one of the most challenging with its mission-based gameplay and incredible depth. These machines are more than just games; they’re a portal to another world.
Celebrating the Champions
A hearty congratulations to the tournament’s top players! Richard Godwin claimed the first-place spot, further solidifying their reputation in the Bremerton pinball scene. With 515 IFPA events under their belt, it’s no surprise they came out on top. Jared Doss, in second place, has been steadily climbing the ranks with 128 events and is proving to be a competitor to watch. Rachel Kahalekulu, finishing third, has clearly mastered the art of consistency with a remarkable 590 events to her name. And rounding out the top four, Daniel Trobare, with his impressive state rank of 113th, showed everyone why he’s a force to be reckoned with. Bravo to all the participants for making this a night to remember!
