Pinball Manufacturers: Chicago Gaming
A little history on Chicago Gaming
Founded in 2001 and based in Cicero, Illinois, Chicago Gaming Company (CGC) began its life producing arcade multicades and home entertainment cabinets. However, the company possessed a secret weapon: its deep ties to the Churchill Cabinet Company, the exact factory that built the original wooden cabinets for Bally and Williams during the 1990s pinball boom. Leveraging this manufacturing pedigree, CGC pivoted to pinball and quickly established itself as the undisputed master of the modern remake.
Through a master licensing agreement with Planetary Pinball Supply, Chicago Gaming set out to do the impossible: build faithful, brand-new reproductions of the greatest solid-state machines ever made. By combining original playfield layouts with modern reliability, CGC delivered games that appealed equally to hardcore tournament players seeking perfect flipper feel and home collectors wanting hassle-free maintenance.
After dominating the remake market, Chicago Gaming Company shocked the industry by teaming up with Play Mechanix and legendary designer Mark Ritchie to release an original title: Pulp Fiction (2023). Blending a retro, single-level playfield aesthetic with deep modern rules and authentic movie assets, the game proved that CGC was capable of far more than just reproducing the past. With a steadfast commitment to craftsmanship, Chicago Gaming remains a top-tier manufacturer in the modern pinball landscape.
