The defining feature is turtle selection. Your choice of hero at the start reshapes the whole game: Donatello starts Turtle Power Multiball with a single right-ramp shot where others need four; Michelangelo gifts five pizza slices; Raphael begins with an episode already lit. Pizza Multiball is the signature chase, locking in toppings as you lock balls — and the canny play is to land octopus so you can ride the spinner all game once Ninja Pizza Multiball erupts. There’s serious depth for the dedicated, from spelling LAIR to start Training (a permanent scoring boost) to the Final Battle that dumps your accumulated episode values in one big payout. Backhands are very viable, and the “Target Time” setting can give newcomers up to three minutes on ball one to learn the table. Loaded with toys and topping out at eight balls, this top-tier TMNT is Borg at his most exuberant — a frenetic, pizza-fueled party with a tournament-grade ruleset humming underneath. Heroes in a half-shell, indeed.
