Double Barrel Gameplay & History

Williams’ “Double Barrel” is a classic Western-themed electromechanical table designed by Steve Kordek, featuring period-authentic artwork by George Molentin. With a confirmed production run of 700 units, this single-player machine is packed with an extensive array of early pinball mechanics that deliver a highly complex and chaotic playfield experience.

Players use two flippers and two slingshots to navigate a dense landscape populated by two pop bumpers and three passive bumpers. The scoring potential is scattered across numerous targets, including two standup targets, two rollover buttons, and a highly dynamic swinging target that requires precise timing to hit. Coupled with two ball kickers that violently reject shots, “Double Barrel” forces players into a constant state of risk assessment.

The table’s most punishing element is its dual gobble holes. While sinking a ball into either of these holes yields a substantial reward, it immediately ends the ball in play, making it a thrilling and unforgiving test of classic pinball strategy.
