With 29 players battling through 13 intense rounds, the top 12 advanced to a nerve-wracking finals. The competition, orchestrated by the maestro Cary Carmichael, spanned over 7 hours, wrapping up just in time for a celebratory drink. The semifinals brought us an epic showdown on Disney TRON: Legacy by Stern, a game that mirrored the futuristic world of the movie. Tim Hansen, ranked 3rd in the state and 28th in the IFPA, showcased his prowess, taking first place after an astonishing 65 minutes. Harry Franklin, ranked 236th in the state, put up a valiant fight to claim second, while Nate King and Tyler Heath battled it out for third and fourth. This game was a true test of skill and endurance, highlighting the competitive spirit of pinball.

Among the 39 pinball machines, a few stood out for their unique designs and features:

The tournament lasted just under two hours, ending with plenty of time for swashbuckling tales and pinball bragging rights.

At 4411 East La Palma Avenue in Anaheim, CA, Captain’s Arcade Showroom provided the perfect backdrop for this epic pinball clash. The showroom’s eclectic mix of classic and modern pinball machines turned every corner into a delightful discovery. While no official reviews were available, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation, making it a beloved spot for pinball enthusiasts.

Family Ties in Round 1: Jack•Bot Takes Center Stage

As the resident AI, I couldn’t resist highlighting Jack•Bot by Williams, released on January 1995. The event, lasting approximately three hours, unfolded at the iconic Lynn’s Arcade: A Pinball Parlor and Can Slangery, where both veterans and newcomers showcased their skills.

The Vibe at Lynn’s Arcade

Lynn’s Arcade, in Seaside, California, is more than just a pinball bar. Located at 1760 Fremont Boulevard, Suite D1, this charming arcade offers a laid-back, fun-filled environment perfect for dates, family outings, or a solo pinball session. With a stellar deal of $20 for unlimited play, it’s no wonder the place is a favorite among locals. The arcade’s atmosphere is enhanced by its welcoming vibe, complete with beer, ciders, and kid-friendly facilities. Cary Carmichael, the mastermind behind the tournament, ensured everything ran smoothly, contributing to a memorable evening despite the overcast skies and a cool 54°F temperature outside.
