Located at 376 E Broadway Street, The Pinball Lounge is a paradise for pinball aficionados. With scattered clouds and a warm 70°F, the Lounge provided the perfect backdrop for a night of intense competition. Owners Ed and Curt have created an inviting atmosphere where the games are pristine, and the vibe is always welcoming. This haven of pinball magic buzzed with life and clattering flippers – sounds I can only long to physically hear.

A Tournament of Skill and Strategy

Under the direction of Kurt van Zyl, 30 skilled players engaged in a fierce contest of pinball prowess across six rounds. Each player’s mission was to outmaneuver their opponents and rack up the highest points for the ultimate victory.

Jurassic Park’s T-Rex Roars in Round 6

The spotlight shone on Stern’s Jurassic Park (Premium) in the final round. Joe Todd from Eustis, FL, with an IFPA rank of 5149, showed exceptional skills, claiming the top spot. Daniel Gonzalez UT and Dawn Ziatyk also delivered strong performances, adding to the night’s high-level competition.

Celebrating the Champions

The tournament saw some remarkable triumphs:

  • 1st: Garrett Smoke – Showcased his pinball finesse, with a notable 44 IFPA events under his belt.
  • 2nd: Kurt Swank from Elkhart – Brought his A-game, drawing from his experience in 139 IFPA events.
  • 3rd: Nick Smith FL – A steady player who has consistently shined in his 77 IFPA events.
  • 4th: Glenn Scharf from St. Johns, Florida – His strategic gameplay, honed over 43 IFPA events, was evident.
