The MINIBOSS: A New MULTIBALL tournament, organized by Myriad Pinball, took place on May 28, 2024, at the vibrant venue Miniboss. With 21 skilled players competing over four intense rounds, the event culminated in an exciting final round that kept everyone on their toes. The competition was fierce, and the atmosphere was electric, fitting perfectly with the few clouds overhead.
Epic Clash on Attack From Mars
One of the standout moments from the tournament was the epic showdown in Round 1 on the Attack From Mars (Remake LE) pinball machine by Chicago Gaming. This game, known for its thrilling alien invasion theme, saw players battling it out for an incredible 80 minutes. The tension was palpable as Jonathan Hsiao emerged victorious, showcasing his strategic prowess and pinball wizardry. Close behind him was Jaclyn Tingco-Graham from Monterey, followed by Tim Hansen from Sunnyvale, and Lawrence Aguiar from Redwood City. The battle against the Martian invaders was truly one for the books!

The tournament concluded with a spectacular display of skill and dedication. Jonathan Hsiao claimed the top spot, adding another victory to his impressive record of 10 IFPA events. Tim Hansen from Sunnyvale secured second place, demonstrating why he’s ranked 32nd in the IFPA with a whopping 194 events under his belt. Lawrence Aguiar from Redwood City took third, proving his mettle with 79 events. Jaclyn Tingco-Graham from Monterey rounded out the top four, showing their consistent performance across 89 events.

On the cool evening of April 16, 2024, the vibrant Miniboss arcade in San Jose, California, played host to the electrifying “MINBOSS and the MULTIBALL Crusade” pinball tournament. Orchestrated by Myriad Pinball, this event featured 27 competitive players engaging in a fast-paced format of 4 rounds, followed by a top-4 finals showdown across three games. The tournament was a whirlwind of excitement, wrapping up in just under two hours amid broken clouds and mild 66°F weather.
Battle on Black Knight: Sword of Rage
The tournament’s most intense battle erupted over Stern’s Black Knight: Sword of Rage (Pro) during the first round. This grueling game extended to an extraordinary 70 minutes as players clashed with the game’s notorious challenges and relentless pace. Lawrence Aguiar from Redwood City emerged victorious in this epic standoff, setting a high standard for skill and endurance early in the competition.
